Exclude heavy vehicles from operating the plates.
Avoid sighting plates on a convex slope.
Avoid layouts encouraging cars to approach plates more than 15 degrees
out of line.
Provide good illumination.
It is essential that the spring is lubricated/greased on a regular basis and
debris removed from under the flap

goods vehicle, or with the flap reduced to115mm will provide the strength & flexibility
